Primitivo Salamanca made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Yasir Pedrozo sent off a good shot on target. Jose Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Leiva in the 24th minute of the match. Efren Verdugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jose Mondragon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Leiva's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Yasir Pedrozo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Primitivo Salamanca. Yasir Pedrozo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Paolo Leiva made a precise shot to the right of Jose Mondragon. Tooting AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Efren Verdugo struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jose Mondragon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brentford. After the first half Brentford were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yasir Pedrozo to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Brentford defense, Yasir Pedrozo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Primitivo Salamanca. The Brentford fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Primitivo Salamanca should have stopped the shot. In the 60th match minute, Brentford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Leiva to maneuver through the defense. If Paolo Leiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Tooting AFC got a freekick which was hit by Max Fuentes. After a defensive mix-up in Brentford's zone, Carlos Mayen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Primitivo Salamanca came out of the goal and Carlos Mayen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Mayen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Salamanca having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yasir Pedrozo in the 79th minute of play forced Brentford's goalkeeper Primitivo Salamanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brentford's Primitivo Salamanca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mayen in the 80th minute of play. When Yasir Pedrozo came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Tooting AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yasir Pedrozo couldn't finish the play. When Tooting AFC's Carlos Mayen in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
