If Avilio Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Mayen during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, St Austell City's Luis Mayen got a free kick in the 7th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Marcos Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kings Lynn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Rivas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgardo Lovo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Kings Lynn FC's Avilio Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13thth minute of the game Marcos Rivas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but St Austell City's Marvin Machado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcos Rivas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marvin Machado having to make a save. Marvin Machado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcos Rivas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. When Marcos Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Kings Lynn FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Rivas couldn't finish the play. Oswaldo Toledano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Osorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paolo Parada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kings Lynn FC's David Ramos got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Rivas was the one to do the kick off. Esteban Aguilar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Toledano having to interfere. After some careless play in the Kings Lynn FC defense, Esteban Aguilar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oswaldo Toledano. The Kings Lynn FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oswaldo Toledano should have stopped the shot. Marvin Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Rivas in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Kings Lynn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Quijada to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Kings Lynn FC's Wilmer Duarte got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a little luck, Kings Lynn FC's Oswaldo Toledano got control of the ball when Esteban Aguilar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esteban Aguilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 90 minutes of play, Kings Lynn FC's Marcos Rivas made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marvin Machado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jose Pineda kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Hector Bran was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
