Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Victorino Rey took the kick off in the first half of the match. Armando Lozano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Fernandez in the 4th minute. Mariano Zelaya's late challenge caught a New Cross's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Zelaya helped the player get up and apologised. Zelvin Villalobos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Lozano having to interfere. Edgardo Rojas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Hidalgo having to interfere. Cesar Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani Paredes in the 14th minute of the match. Victorino Rey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 27 played minutes Quinton FC got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Bustamante. Giovani Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute Giovani Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luis Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, New Cross's Zelvin Villalobos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Lozano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victorino Rey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cesar Hidalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Zelvin Villalobos made the kick off in the second half. Cesar Hidalgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Paredes in the 52nd minute of play. When Victorino Rey came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Quinton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Rey couldn't finish the play. After having played for 55 minutes, Giovani Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quinton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovani Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zelvin Villalobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Max Sosa hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute New Cross were awarded a corner. Gilberto Quintanilla went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Jhonnatan Escobar heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 71st minute Zelvin Villalobos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Lozano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in New Cross's zone, Giovani Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Hidalgo came out of the goal and Giovani Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to New Cross getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. David Zepeda hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Quinton FC's Wilmer Martinez tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Giovani Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Hidalgo having to interfere. Victorino Rey was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Quinton FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Giovani Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Cesar Hidalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
