Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zelvin Villalobos kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Leopoldo Molina managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 6th match minute, Cheshunt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sarbelio Renderos to maneuver through the defense. Luis Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, New Cross's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Barragan came free, but Cesar Hidalgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Leopoldo Molina in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 14th minute, Pablo Barragan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zelvin Villalobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zelvin Villalobos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Menjivar having to interfere. Pablo Barragan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cesar Hidalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Zelvin Villalobos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Menjivar. Cheshunt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zelvin Villalobos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cheshunt's Leopoldo Molina got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cheshunt's Victor Menjivar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Fernandez in the 36th minute of play. When New Cross's Luis Fernandez in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cheshunt's goalie prevented a goal. 41 minutes into the game, New Cross's Zelvin Villalobos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Barragan in the 44th minute of play forced New Cross's goalkeeper Cesar Hidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, New Cross's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Barragan came free, but Cesar Hidalgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sarbelio Renderos in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Hidalgo saved New Cross from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Barragan to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Hector Mejia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cheshunt booed when New Cross was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odir Ancheta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Molina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 63rd minute Pablo Barragan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Zelvin Villalobos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Menjivar was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Zelvin Villalobos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Menjivar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zelvin Villalobos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When New Cross's Zelvin Villalobos in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cheshunt's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in New Cross's zone, Pablo Barragan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Hidalgo came out of the goal and Pablo Barragan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. New Cross's Cesar Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Barragan in the 97th minute of play. The New Cross players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
