Cowplain FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edwin Galdamez in the 25th minute. Ronald Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Suarez in the 27th minute of the match. Franklin Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ronald Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Ronald Santana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 39thth minute of the game Rony Suarez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stevenage AFC's Ronald Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronald Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Suarez in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute Rony Suarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julio Bonilla to strike the kick off in the second half.
