Spectators: 6787 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mariano Brizuela kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute of the match Christian Dubon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richard Canales showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Richard Canales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhonnatan Salamanca in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes in the game, Paolo Sanchez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Richard Canales having to interfere. Jhonnatan Salamanca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adolfo Medrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Brizuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jhonnatan Salamanca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Great Totham's Richard Canales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhonnatan Salamanca in the 31st minute of play. Richard Canales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhonnatan Salamanca in the 32nd minute of the match. Richard Canales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jhonnatan Salamanca's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Alexander Guardado fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Totham's protests and gave Alexander Guardado a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Paolo Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colchester FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Sanchez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Canales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Great Totham's zone, Jhonnatan Salamanca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Canales came out of the goal and Jhonnatan Salamanca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 played minutes, Great Totham's Patricio Gamero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adolfo Medrano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Great Totham reached it. Isaac Mejia hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Paolo Sanchez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Canales having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jhonnatan Salamanca made a kick off. The corner ended in Fabio Cruz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Great Totham's Richard Canales did a great save. If Jhonnatan Salamanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes Great Totham got a freekick which was hit by Joselito Flamenco. Richard Canales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhonnatan Salamanca in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to Colchester FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Fabio Cruz hit a great ball. Efren Erazo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Medrano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Adolfo Medrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Brizuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Efren Erazo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Efren Erazo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Sanchez in the 84th minute of play forced Great Totham's goalkeeper Richard Canales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Colchester FC's Jhonnatan Salamanca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Canales made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
