The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Rudy Rey put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Argentina:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sutton Coldfield FC:s goal. Francisco Umanzor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Josue Chavez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Argentina's Ladislao Bran got control of the ball when Zelvin Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Umanzor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ladislao Bran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zelvin Machado in the 61st minute of play. After some careless play in the Argentina defense, Douglas Ocampo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislao Bran. The Argentina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislao Bran should have stopped the shot. Ladislao Bran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Bentos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Umanzor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josue Chavez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Francisco Umanzor rounded Sutton Coldfield FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. The Argentina supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Argentina would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
