Alejandro Peña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Andrés Sandoval cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alejandro Peña was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. C.S.D Municipal's Alejandro Peña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selvin Llorente in the 19th minute of play. Alejandro Peña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrés Díaz in the 23rd minute of play. Alejandro Peña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Victorino, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Odir Zepeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolás Aguirrez having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Ulises Madariaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejandro Peña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrés Díaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolás Aguirrez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odir Zepeda in the 40th minute. Alejandro Peña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrés Díaz in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of CSD Municipal booed when C.S.D Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odir Zepeda didn't get a good kick on the ball.

A collision led to C.S.D Municipal getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Richard Ruiz hit a great ball. Alejandro Peña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Victorino in the 57th minute of play. Juan Flores could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Alejandro Peña made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, C.S.D Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Victorino came free, but Alejandro Peña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Peña came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by CSD Municipal's Juan Flores. But to his dismay, Juan Flores quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nicolás Aguirrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odir Zepeda, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Nicolás Aguirrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odir Zepeda in the 70th minute of play. Alejandro Peña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Flores in the 82nd minute. Alejandro Peña was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Juan Flores capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juan Flores really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. A hard shot 94 in the game by Juan Flores from a close distance when the talented Alejandro Peña managed to make a qualified save. C.S.D Municipal's players were relieved. A collision led to C.S.D Municipal getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Odir Zepeda hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded CSD Municipal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.S.D Municipal.
