Saul Escobar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Saul Escobar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrés Sandoval in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Guastatoya's Jorge Messias got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Selvin Llorente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Jorge Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Floress short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Saul Escobar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 32 minutes into the match, Guillermo Alferez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CSD Municipal's Nicolás Aguirrez. Nicolás Aguirrez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Selvin Llorente was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. CSD Municipal's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. CSD Municipal's Andrés Sandoval got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, CSD Municipal's Allan Victorino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saul Escobar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Guastatoya's goalkeeper Saul Escobar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, Club Deportivo Guastatoya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Hidalgo to maneuver through the defense. CSD Municipal's Zelvin Osorio got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrés Díaz struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Saul Escobar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSD Municipal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Alferez to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, CSD Municipal's Andrés Sandoval made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saul Escobar was left in no man's land by his defense there! 55 minutes into the match, CSD Municipal's Allan Victorino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saul Escobar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andrés Díaz took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saul Escobar. Saul Escobar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 64th minute, Allan Victorino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Saul Villanueva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Guastatoya's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Villanueva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolás Aguirrez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marvin Galeas hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Selvin Llorente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSD Municipal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selvin Llorente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Andrés Díaz notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Club Deportivo Guastatoya's Saul Escobar. Saul Escobar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Guastatoya's zone, Juan Flores stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Escobar came out of the goal and Juan Flores tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Selvin Llorente notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Club Deportivo Guastatoya's Saul Escobar. Saul Escobar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
