A collision led to Holloway getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alvaro Martinez hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, Rene Lara notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Holloway's Efren Pinho. Efren Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arturo Lovo made a kick off. Will Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Efren Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Enrique Corpeño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilfracombe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Corpeño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 played minutes Ilfracombe got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Espindola. The crowd rose to their feet as Arturo Lovo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Efren Pinho. That made the score 3-3 in the 72 minute of play. Avilio Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Ilfracombe's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Villacorta came free, but Jose Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Zaldaña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jose Torres was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Marcelo Zaldaña put it in 4-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jose Torres. Jose Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Zaldaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 94 minutes, Enrique Corpeño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ilfracombe and the Holloway players grew even worse after the yellow card. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Holloway's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
