Sarbelio Guerrero shot from long distance in the 25th minute, but Wilmer Guerra was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 29 played minutes Newlyn East AFC got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Verdugo. Joselito Ortiz hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Wilmer Guerra was a little too slow when Alfredo Menjivar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-0. Marvin Alfaro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marvin Alfaro was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Joselito Ortiz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Newlyn East AFC's Orlando Sanchez. Orlando Sanchez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joselito Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando Sanchez having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Omar Arango managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Arango was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Sanchez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joselito Ortiz had several of the Newlyn East AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Orlando Sanchez as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joselito Ortiz in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Sanchez saved Newlyn East AFC from getting behind. After 73 played minutes, Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Ernesto Sifon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Orlando Sanchez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Soul´s Anchor Tattoo reached it. Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Wilmer Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Llorente in the 77th minute of play. Félix Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Félix Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th match minute, Soul´s Anchor Tattoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Félix Lima to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Menjivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Wilmer Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marvin Alfaro in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Alfaro in the 84th minute of play forced Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's goalkeeper Wilmer Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Salguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's goal looked a bit too open when Marvin Alfaro came free, but Wilmer Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Marvin Alfaro came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Newlyn East AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marvin Alfaro couldn't finish the play. The Newlyn East AFC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
