After 12 played minutes Derry Hill got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Huezo. When Cesar Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the FIFI CLUB ™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Cruz couldn't finish the play. If Roberto Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Derry Hill's goalkeeper Erick Corpeño had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Cruz. Erick Corpeño made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Ortiz in the 27th minute. With his leg Erick Corpeño managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when FIFI CLUB ™'s Roberto Ortiz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cesar Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erick Corpeño having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Derry Hill's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Cruz came free, but Erick Corpeño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ocampo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erick Corpeño having to make a save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronald Huezo was the one to do the kick off. Wilmer Aguirrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Orlando Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erick Corpeño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilmer Aguirrez got free with Orlando Machado in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesar Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erick Corpeño read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Derry Hill's goalkeeper Erick Corpeño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 75 played minutes Derry Hill got a freekick which was hit by Luis Mora. Rafael Aguirrez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erick Corpeño having to make a save. Orlando Machado was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Ronald Huezo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ronald Huezo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Erick Corpeño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erick Corpeño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Ortiz in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute Cesar Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erick Corpeño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cesar Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erick Corpeño was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FIFI CLUB ™ had played much better football throughout.
