In the 7th match minute, Derry Hill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilmer Aguirrez to maneuver through the defense. Erick Corpeño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronald Huezo during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Toledano in the 17th minute of play forced Derry Hill's goalkeeper Erick Corpeño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronald Huezo to make the kick off. In the 84th minute, Oswaldo Toledano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erick Corpeño. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 89th minute of the match Josue Ayala shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erick Corpeño showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Derry Hill's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Gomez came free, but Erick Corpeño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Toledano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Erick Corpeño was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Cóban Imperial could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Derry Hill throughout the match.
