After some careless play in the Puerto San José defense, Sven-Edvin Jansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Umaña. The Puerto San José fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Umaña should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute, GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Mariano Umaña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zico Zellier, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Henry to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Edvin Janssons short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Mariano Umaña to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alejandro Rivas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Puerto San José:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GuateFortín:s goal. The excitement rose when GuateFortín's Angel Alvarenga after 32 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Puerto San José's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 6-0. In the 35th minute, GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-0. Thierry Henry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 minutes, Zico Zellier made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. Puerto San José's Mariano Umaña tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mariano Umaña came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Thierry Henry. But to his dismay, Thierry Henry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. The audience was convinced that Thierry Henry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Umaña was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. GuateFortín made a substitution. William Villanueva replaced Sven-Edvin Jansson. GuateFortín's Mario Gomez was substituted for Thierry Henry. Raúl Cabrera kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Mario Gomez struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Mariano Umaña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GuateFortín. In the 69thth minute of the game Mario Gomez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Puerto San José's Mariano Umaña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Puerto San José's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Gomez came free, but Mariano Umaña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mario Gomez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pablo Mora scored 13-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mariano Umaña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute Mario Gomez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Umaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Gomez succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 14-0. In the 96th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Roberto Trotta got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the referee ended the match the GuateFortín players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
