But to his dismay, Paulinho da Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Paulinho da Silva put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of William Valenzuela. In the 32nd minute, Paulinho da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Valenzuela was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulinho da Silva in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg William Valenzuela saved Eastcote from getting behind. Paulinho da Silva scored 0-7 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of William Valenzuela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 44th minute of the game was made by Fidel Dubon with Victorino Guerra as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Eastcote booed when Guatitlan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Mitroi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Eastcote players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guatitlan were winning 0-7.

Guatitlan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Ventura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulinho da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Valenzuela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. With splendid footwork Paulinho da Silva arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-9 by the left pole in the game's 69th minute. The Guatitlan fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Guatitlan's Paulinho da Silva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
