Nery Lehman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Fabricio Sandi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Sandi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, San Carlos AFC's Clodomiro Ledezma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Ortiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Johnny Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Sandi in the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to SPORTING TICO F.C. getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Alan Huertas hit a great ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keilor Granados stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Fabricio Sandi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Keilor Granados shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Rivas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodomiro Ledezma hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Fabricio Sandi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Johnny Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Fabricio Sandi came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the San Carlos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Sandi couldn't finish the play. Fabricio Sandi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Johnny Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keilor Granados ran back to his position shaking his head. Inocencio Rivera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Rivas having to interfere. Nery Lehman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Carlos AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
