Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Beto Guardia got the match started through his kick off. Santiago Moya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Martinez having to interfere. After having played for 13 minutes, Nery Viquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parrita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nery Viquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Keylor Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oldemar Ortiz during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes River Plate United got a freekick which was hit by Oldemar Ortiz. Beto Guardia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Navarro having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Michael Heredia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beto Guardia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eladio Herrera during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to River Plate United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Eladio Herrera hit a great ball. Beto Guardia struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Alexis Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parrita FC. Alexis Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Guardia in the 38th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Keylor Martinez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herberto Tenorio made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate United's zone, Beto Guardia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexis Navarro came out of the goal and Beto Guardia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otto Villareal hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match Ramon Cortez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salvador Martinez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 57th play minute Santiago Moya came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Salvador Martinez. 0-1. After 59 played minutes River Plate United got a freekick which was hit by Frank Lehman. The supporters of River Plate United booed when Parrita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nery Viquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexis Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keylor Martinez in the 69th minute of the match. Beto Guardia scored 1-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexis Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Keylor Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Navarro having to interfere. Beto Guardia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Alexis Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Guardia in the 80th minute of play forced River Plate United's goalkeeper Alexis Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, River Plate United's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Guardia came free, but Alexis Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Beto Guardia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexis Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keylor Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, River Plate United's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Guardia came free, but Alexis Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River Plate United's Alexis Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keylor Martinez in the 95th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Keylor Martinez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexis Navarro was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Parrita FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
