After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Anselmo Vega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Chiles AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Vega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Flores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Leiton charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Leiton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Nery Lehman came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Tamarindo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nery Lehman couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the game, Los Chiles AFC's Anselmo Vega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Flores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marco Chaclar hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Edwin Mesa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donald Pacheco was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Edwin Mesa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. Martin Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nery Lehman struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Martin Ayala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamarindo FC. Martin Ayala made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Nery Lehman sent off a good shot on target. Anselmo Vega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 71st minute Anselmo Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Tamarindo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Vega came free, but David Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
