Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Darien Lara took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th match minute, Mal pais AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Pinto to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Tulio Echeverria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Mal pais AFC's Darien Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Paniagua made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Darien Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hector Paniagua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darien Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Piedra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerardo Moya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Mal pais AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Moya came free, but Gilberto Garita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Darien Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

William Martinez kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Montezuma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otilio Volio to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes Montezuma got a freekick which was hit by Alain Pinto. Gerardo Moya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gilberto Garita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tulio Echeverria might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Garita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tulio Echeverria ran back to his position shaking his head. Gerardo Moya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Garita having to interfere. In the 87th minute Gerardo Moya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Garita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89thth minute of the game Gerardo Moya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mal pais AFC's Gilberto Garita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Moya in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Garita saved Mal pais AFC from getting behind. After having played for 95 minutes, Ignacio Piedra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mal pais AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacio Piedra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ignacio Piedra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Hector Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mal pais AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montezuma.
