The wind increased when Andrei Murillo made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sarapiqui booed when Perez Zeledon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Saborio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenio Mejias hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Andrei Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perez Zeledon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Maroto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olger Quiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Maroto having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Perez Zeledon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Pineda. Perez Zeledon AFC's Nestor Carvajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pancho Madrigal in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Perez Zeledon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Saborio to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Carvajal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryan Kamakiri in the 85th minute. Bryan Kamakiri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Nestor Carvajal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 92 minutes into the game, Martin Saborio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Perez Zeledon AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarapiqui the free kick. Martin Saborio kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Perez Zeledon AFC! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Sarapiqui. Paul Amador stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nestor Carvajal. 1-2. The Perez Zeledon AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sarapiqui's performance. The match ended with a win for Sarapiqui.
