Tres Rios

Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) Alonzo Palma made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Cid Lizano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Carvajal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, Ramon Sanabria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alonzo Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. Cid Lizano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Carvajal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cid Lizano in the 17th minute of play forced Tres Rios's goalkeeper Leopoldo Carvajal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willy Villafranca made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Keilor Fuentes sent off a good shot on target. If Alonzo Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Alonzo Palma left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraiso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 31st minute of the match Emiliano Merino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Willy Villafranca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Paraiso's goal looked a bit too open when Nino Blanco came free, but Willy Villafranca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willy Villafranca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nino Blanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Cid Lizano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leopoldo Carvajal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alonzo Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nino Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Villafranca having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nino Blanco to make the kick off. Nino Blanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Willy Villafranca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tres Rios's Leopoldo Carvajal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Tres Rios from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the game, Wilmer Umaña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tres Rios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraiso the free kick. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tres Rios! Virgilio Gallo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Cid Lizano in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leopoldo Carvajal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alonzo Palma struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Leopoldo Carvajal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraiso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nino Blanco in the 73rd minute of play forced Paraiso's goalkeeper Willy Villafranca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Keilor Fuentes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Paraiso's goal looked a bit too open when Nino Blanco came free, but Willy Villafranca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascual Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the game, Ramon Sanabria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tres Rios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraiso the free kick. A collision led to Tres Rios getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Ramon Sanabria hit a great ball. Alonzo Palma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Carvajal having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Paraiso left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tres Rios.
