Nicolas Huertas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Francisco Borbon 42 minutes into the match. If Anibal Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olman Umaña was the one to do the kick off. Francisco Borbon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Piedra in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Naranjo FC's Olman Umaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Coto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paquera fans cheered their team off the field, for while Naranjo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
