The Naranjo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Borbon should have stopped the shot. Naranjo FC's Francisco Borbon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuto Castro in the 15th minute of play. If Tuto Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alvin Solis came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the LOBOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvin Solis couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgilio Echeverri during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes LOBOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Echeverri. Anselmo Figueres's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Gabe Conejo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 24th minute, Olman Umaña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After taking down the ball on LOBOS FC's corner Virgilio Echeverri fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Borbon quite easily take care of the ball. In the 44th minute Tuto Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Borbon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernie Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tuto Castro was the one to do the kick off. Gabe Conejo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Campos in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to LOBOS FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bernie Castro hit a great ball. Naranjo FC's Anselmo Figueres got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute Rafael Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabe Conejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to LOBOS FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Bernie Castro hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the game, Teodoro Peña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOBOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Naranjo FC the free kick. After 63 played minutes LOBOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Peña. In the 71st minute, Rafael Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tuto Castro got free with Francisco Borbon in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When LOBOS FC's Tuto Castro in 75 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Francisco Borbon guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Tuto Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernie Castro struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Francisco Borbon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOBOS FC. Bernie Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Borbon having to interfere. When LOBOS FC's Tuto Castro in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Naranjo FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Naranjo FC's zone, Bernie Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Borbon came out of the goal and Bernie Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Borbon stood somewhat misplaced when Tuto Castro came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 89 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Figueres in the 93rd minute of play forced LOBOS FC's goalkeeper Gabe Conejo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to LOBOS FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Teodoro Peña hit a great ball. The Naranjo FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. LOBOS FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
