Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as Ojochal's Leonel Ortiz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marco Cartin. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Marco Cartin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tulio Morales's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 9th minute, Alfonso Saborio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Milton Robles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Cantillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Nicolas Cantillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Lobo in the 17th minute of play. When Alfredo Madriz fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ojochal's protests and gave Alfredo Madriz a yellow card for diving instead. Atenas's Jesus Lobo got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ojochal getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rodrigo Peralta hit a great ball. Milton Robles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Cantillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Luis Oses charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Oses the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Jesus Lobo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Atenas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Lobo couldn't finish the play. Marco Cartin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tulio Morales in the 44th minute of play. Marco Cartin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tulio Morales, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ojochal's zone, Jesus Lobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Cantillo came out of the goal and Jesus Lobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tulio Morales made a kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Joaquin Acuña who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atenas's Marco Cartin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquin Acuña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Marco Cartin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Tulio Morales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Eladio Ramirez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ojochal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atenas the free kick. In the 67th minute, Eladio Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Cantillo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Michael Parra. Ojochal's Nicolas Cantillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Lobo in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Alfredo Madriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Milton Robles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Jesus Lobo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atenas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Lobo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Cantillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milton Robles got free with Nicolas Cantillo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Ojochal getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alfredo Madriz hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Jesus Lobo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Cantillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Joaquin Acuña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Acuña in the 85th minute of play forced Atenas's goalkeeper Marco Cartin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Cantillo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Milton Robles sent off a good shot on target. 93 minutes into the game, Ojochal's Joaquin Acuña nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Cartin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Joaquin Acuña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Cartin having to interfere.
