Spectators: 6922 (Terracing: 5050, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 101) Minor Caballero started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Minor Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Minor Caballero took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Israel Sanchez. Israel Sanchez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Minor Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 20 minutes, Minor Caballero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herradura FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Minor Caballero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saul Merino made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Maikol Palma sent off a good shot on target. Baltazar Davila kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Herradura FC booed when Puriscal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Osorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Merino having to interfere. The Puriscal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Herradura FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Osorio made a kick off. In the 58th minute Maikol Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Merino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Minor Caballero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Israel Sanchez was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After 65 played minutes Puriscal got a freekick which was hit by Benny Sarmiento. Israel Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Minor Caballero in the 70th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heriberto Leiton got free with Israel Sanchez in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Osorio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Saul Merino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Puriscal's goalkeeper Israel Sanchez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Oreamuno. After 87 played minutes Puriscal got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Borbon. Minor Caballero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Sanchez having to interfere. Benny Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Celso Colon sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Puriscal's Israel Sanchez didn't even have to move. Minor Caballero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Israel Sanchez came out and tried to block the shot, but Minor Caballero slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 96th minute. Herradura FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
