In the 5th match minute, Bijagual was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Matarrita to maneuver through the defense. Benito Echeverri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eladio Mejias in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Coto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelio Matarrita's late challenge caught a Arenal AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Matarrita helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bijagual getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Aurelio Matarrita hit a great ball. After 12 minutes of play, Arenal AFC's Eladio Mejias made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Coto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Humberto Zamora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darien Mesa in the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Arenal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Sirias came free, but Humberto Zamora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eladio Mejias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Bijagual getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bernardo Sirias hit a great ball. Humberto Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darien Mesa in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darien Mesa in the 40th minute of play forced Arenal AFC's goalkeeper Humberto Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Darien Mesa came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Bijagual fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darien Mesa couldn't finish the play. Humberto Zamora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Sirias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eladio Mejias to make the kick off. Humberto Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Sirias in the 59th minute of play. Rodolfo Coto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Echeverri in the 66th minute of the match. When Benito Echeverri came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Arenal AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Echeverri couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Echeverri in the 76th minute of play forced Bijagual's goalkeeper Rodolfo Coto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eladio Mejias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Coto having to interfere. Arenal AFC's Humberto Zamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Sirias in the 83rd minute of play. Bernardo Sirias struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Humberto Zamora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bijagual. Darien Mesa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Humberto Zamora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Arenal AFC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Tulio Cambronero hit a great ball. Rodolfo Coto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eladio Mejias in the 96th minute of the match. Arenal AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bijagual for a fine match.
