Agustin Cordero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Agustin Cordero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of San Carlos AFC booed when Dominical was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Piedra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th play minute Elias Vanderlat came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Warner Hurtado. 1-0. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind San Carlos AFC's goalkeeper Fabricio Artavia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Dominical defense, Elias Vanderlat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Warner Hurtado. The Dominical fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Warner Hurtado should have stopped the shot. Rene Saborio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Warner Hurtado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustin Cordero's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. San Carlos AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
