Francisco Arnaez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Valverde's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Eric Valverde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Arnaez having to interfere. Francisco Arnaez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Valverde in the 15th minute of the match. Raul Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Abel Castillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Quesada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Porras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Arnaez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Arenal's zone, Abel Castillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Arnaez came out of the goal and Abel Castillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Eric Valverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Arnaez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Baru FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tito Hidalgo came free, but Uriel Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Castillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tito Hidalgo in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uriel Mata saved Baru FC from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Eric Valverde had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Arnaez. Arenal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Valverde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Eric Valverde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baru FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Valverde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Arnaez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Abel Castillo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Francisco Arnaez, passed just outside the right post. Eric Valverde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Arnaez having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Castillo got free with Francisco Arnaez in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the game, Tito Hidalgo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baru FC the free kick. Tito Hidalgo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Arenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eladio Lizano to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Arenal's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Castillo came free, but Francisco Arnaez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Castillo during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Baru FC booed when Arenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Castillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baru FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
