Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abel Castillo kicked off to start the match. Carlos Blen's late challenge caught a Baru FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Blen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Baru FC booed when Club Sport Cartaginés was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Blen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Warner Mondragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Porras, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Gabriel Burgos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Warner Mondragon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Blen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Uriel Mata. Baru FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edwin Robles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Mata having to interfere. Uriel Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Ugalde in the 12th minute of the match. Marco Ugalde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Mata having to interfere. Warner Mondragon was a little too slow when Enrique Porras got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 25 minutes of play, Baru FC's Eric Valverde made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Warner Mondragon was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Club Sport Cartaginés getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Edwin Robles hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Gabriel Burgos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Warner Mondragon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidel Villalobos during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Club Sport Cartaginés was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Villalobos to maneuver through the defense. Warner Mondragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Castillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Ugalde in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Mata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baru FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gabriel Burgos in the 43rd minute. Warner Mondragon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Porras in the 45th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Abel Castillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Warner Mondragon. That made the score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Ugalde made a kick off. A collision led to Club Sport Cartaginés getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Carlos Blen hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Virgilio Arias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Sport Cartaginés's zone, Enrique Porras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Warner Mondragon came out of the goal and Enrique Porras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uriel Mata made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Virgilio Arias sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the game, Enrique Porras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Warner Mondragon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abel Castillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 73rd minute, Enrique Porras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Porras in the 82nd minute of play forced Club Sport Cartaginés's goalkeeper Warner Mondragon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Mata having to interfere. Club Sport Cartaginés's Warner Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Castillo in the 88th minute of play. Miguel Blanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Uriel Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Enrique Porras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baru FC and the Club Sport Cartaginés players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute Eric Valverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warner Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Baru FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Sport Cartaginés had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
