Leonel Barrantes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Cesar Hernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernie Jara having to interfere. Victor Figueres struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Bernie Jara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Psicosis FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Victor Figueres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Psicosis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Figueres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernie Jara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13thth minute of the game Victor Figueres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALAJUELENSE FC's Bernie Jara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th match minute, ALAJUELENSE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Lozano to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Figueres in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernie Jara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Andres Lozano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Greivin Medina. Psicosis FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andres Lozano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Cesar Hernandez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ALAJUELENSE FC's Bernie Jara. Bernie Jara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chunche Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, ALAJUELENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Hernandez came free, but Bernie Jara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Psicosis FC's Victor Figueres in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ALAJUELENSE FC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Hernandez got free with Bernie Jara in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, Psicosis FC's Cesar Hernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernie Jara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, ALAJUELENSE FC's Bernie Jara got control of the ball when Cesar Hernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Cesar Hernandez put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bernie Jara. Cesar Hernandez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 62nd playminute. Cesar Hernandez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Bernie Jara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Victor Figueres took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Bernie Jara to make any attempt to save it. After 91 minutes of play, Psicosis FC's Cesar Hernandez made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernie Jara was left in no man's land by his defense there! The ALAJUELENSE FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Psicosis FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
