Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pepe Campos started the match with the kick off. Ismael Quiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Parra in the 13th minute of the match. Benito Peralta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ismael Quiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Franklin Parra came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Platanillo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franklin Parra couldn't finish the play. If Benito Peralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Platanillo AFC's Franklin Parra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismael Quiros. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. Tito Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepe Campos in the 36th minute of play. Benito Peralta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Quiros having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Benito Peralta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Platanillo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Peralta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Franklin Parra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Alexander Hurtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Parra in the 54th minute of play forced Guacimo's goalkeeper Ismael Quiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Benito Peralta came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Platanillo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Peralta couldn't finish the play. Franklin Parra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Peralta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rodolfo Rivera fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guacimo's protests and gave Rodolfo Rivera a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th match minute, Guacimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Rivera to maneuver through the defense. If Evaristo Ulate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guacimo's Ismael Quiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Parra in the 90th minute of play. In the 97th match minute, Guacimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Alfaro to maneuver through the defense. Platanillo AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
