After a rather tough play, WapiSport's Alexander Reyes got a free kick in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, WapiSport's goalkeeper Dennis Mesen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Duarte. 10 minutes into the game, Greivin Barahona was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. WapiSport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cahuita the free kick. In the 10th minute, Greivin Barahona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Saul Caballero came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the WapiSport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Caballero couldn't finish the play. Rogelio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Wilbert Cambronero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Rojas's late challenge caught a WapiSport's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guido Rojas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of WapiSport booed when Cahuita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cahuita's Rogelio Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes WapiSport got a freekick which was hit by Wilbert Cambronero. A collision led to WapiSport getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Anacleto Alfaro hit a great ball. Dennis Mesen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Duarte in the 79th minute of the match. WapiSport's Dennis Mesen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Duarte in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Rogelio Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cahuita.
