With a little luck, Cobano AFC's Alvin Lopez got control of the ball when Nacho Carvajal tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Cobano AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rogelio Guadamuz hit a great ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nacho Carvajal to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Coto got free with Fabian Solano in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adolfo Coto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabian Solano having to make a save. After some careless play in the raniza fc defense, Julio Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Solano.
