PITIN SPORT's Macho Thome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Obando in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Blen got free with Macho Thome in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferdinant Ponk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josue Talamanca having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Gilberto Obando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Blen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Macho Thome made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Ave Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when David Hernandez came free, but Josue Talamanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ave Fenix booed when PITIN SPORT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Derock didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ave Fenix's Miguel Blen got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Pablo Derock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferdinant Ponk was the one to do the kick off. Josue Talamanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinant Ponk in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Tom Misaki recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Josue Talamanca. Tom Misaki showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Cid Leiton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th match minute, PITIN SPORT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Derock to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the game, Tom Misaki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Josue Talamanca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. PITIN SPORT made a substitution. Victor Benvide replaced Tom Misaki. 81 minutes into the game, Ferdinant Ponk lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Josue Talamanca. 84 minutes into the match, Ferdinant Ponk notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Ave Fenix's Josue Talamanca. Josue Talamanca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Ave Fenix defense, Ferdinant Ponk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josue Talamanca. The Ave Fenix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josue Talamanca should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Benvide got free with Josue Talamanca in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Ave Fenix's Josue Talamanca got control of the ball when Konrad Bejgier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The PITIN SPORT supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PITIN SPORT would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
