The corner was taken by David Talamanca in the 8th minute. The corner led to OROTINENSE's David Talamanca getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Andrey Panfilov hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Leon Mena's late challenge caught a OROTINENSE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Mena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Barrio Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Mena to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Federspiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Songurhan Mete in the 16th minute of the match. Oscar Federspiel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Talamanca's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Söderqvist in the 18th minute of play forced OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Talamanca in the 19th minute of play forced Barrio Mexico's goalkeeper Oscar Federspiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liu Yong Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Söderqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 21 played minutes OROTINENSE got a freekick which was hit by Juraj Múdry. The audience was convinced that Songurhan Mete's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Federspiel was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Songurhan Mete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's David Talamanca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oscar Federspiel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Leon Mena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liu Yong Yong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Söderqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrey Panfilov to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Barrio Mexico booed when OROTINENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Songurhan Mete didn't get a good kick on the ball. The free kick made by OROTINENSE's Songurhan Mete led to a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Hans Løkin notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong. Liu Yong Yong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 62nd minute, Jacek Walczak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OROTINENSE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Juraj Múdry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Federspiel having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juraj Múdry during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. OROTINENSE made a substitution. Minor Talamanca replaced Juraj Múdry. Juraj Múdry kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Barrio Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Avellaneda to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Federspiel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jacek Walczak showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 74 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrey Panfilov in the 79th minute of play forced OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrio Mexico made a substitution. Bo Törnkvist replaced Andrey Panfilov. Liu Yong Yong had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Hans Løkin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 87th minute, Santiago Avellaneda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to OROTINENSE getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Reinaldo Medina hit a great ball. Liu Yong Yong came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Barrio Mexico's Bo Törnkvist. But to his dismay, Bo Törnkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Iordache Opincaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Federspiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
