The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Miruena during the 3rd minute. Chucho Irulegui's late challenge caught a Chessea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chucho Irulegui helped the player get up and apologised. Joseba Perdices's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Sal Miña skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sal Miña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseba Perdices, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Chessea's Velasco Sanguino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivareo Caldueño in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Huanuco FBC booed when Chessea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iago Berzosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chucho Irulegui was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 70 played minutes Huanuco FBC got a freekick which was hit by Chucho Irulegui. Sal Miña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rik Lupidana, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Antonio Miruena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Chessea were the better team. Chessea's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
