With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paul Romuroso in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pinto Durazo saved Carachuana from getting behind. Maraman Farto made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Joseph Garandia sent off a good shot on target. Paul Romuroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Carachuana's Bernat Masa got a free kick in the 14th minute. Paul Romuroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Pinto Durazo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Romuroso in the 17th minute of play forced Carachuana's goalkeeper Pinto Durazo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Rio booed when Carachuana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernat Masa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignazio Terroba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Carachuana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernat Masa to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Dunixi Narbona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Rio's Eusebio Aragon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pinto Durazo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Rio defense, Nalo Saludes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maraman Farto. The Rio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maraman Farto should have stopped the shot. Pinto Durazo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Simon in the 32nd minute of the match. When Rio's Paul Romuroso in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carachuana's goalie prevented a goal. After recieving a nice pass, Carachuana's Lonzo Bidania tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pinto Durazo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Romuroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute Ceandro Sañudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pinto Durazo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebio Aragon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pinto Durazo having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Carachuana got a freekick which was hit by Bernat Masa. In the 46th minute of the match Sancho Turallos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pinto Durazo skillfully saved the ball. Ignazio Terroba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pinto Durazo having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul Romuroso was the one to do the kick off. Paul Romuroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eusebio Aragon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pinto Durazo came out and tried to block the shot, but Eusebio Aragon slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 53rd minute. Paul Romuroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nalo Saludes in the 59th minute of play forced Rio's goalkeeper Maraman Farto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Paul Romuroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Romuroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pinto Durazo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute, Paul Romuroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul Romuroso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Pinto Durazo made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Carachuana's goalkeeper Pinto Durazo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusebio Aragon. Carachuana's Pinto Durazo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceandro Sañudo in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rio's zone, Joseph Garandia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maraman Farto came out of the goal and Joseph Garandia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
