In the 22nd minute, Nardo Errarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diagur Lambaria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Madeo Devesa having to make a save. In the 28th match minute, Pilcuyo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciceron Balmaseda to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diagur Lambaria in the 31st minute of play forced Pilcuyo's goalkeeper Madeo Devesa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Nevada Alvaredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pilcuyo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nevada Alvaredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucian Valenciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nardo Errarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciceron Balmaseda kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Cajabamba's Elequemedo Balanzuela couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pilcuyo. 45 minutes into the match, Cajabamba's Xayvion Villamizar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Madeo Devesa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xayvion Villamizar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Nardo Errarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pilcuyo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Nevada Alvaredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the game, Pilcuyo's Nardo Errarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucian Valenciano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Ciceron Balmaseda fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pilcuyo's protests and gave Ciceron Balmaseda a yellow card for diving instead. Ciceron Balmaseda kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Cristiano Rioja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madeo Devesa having to interfere. Xayvion Villamizar's late challenge caught a Pilcuyo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xayvion Villamizar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Cajabamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xayvion Villamizar to maneuver through the defense. In the 81stth minute of the game Nardo Errarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cajabamba's Lucian Valenciano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Nevada Alvaredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucian Valenciano. Cajabamba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nevada Alvaredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Nevada Alvaredo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pilcuyo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nevada Alvaredo couldn't finish the play. Procopio Cia's late challenge caught a Pilcuyo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Procopio Cia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Nevada Alvaredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pilcuyo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
