Cirilo Laboys short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Matro Ester to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Madeo Sarralde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matro Ester having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atletico Carval's Flavio Villalba got a free kick in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manoel Frago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Lizbeth Bengoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matro Ester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atletico Carval's Flavio Villalba got a free kick in the 55th minute. Atletico Carval's Matro Ester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madeo Sarralde in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manoel Frago in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ixona Guerrez saved Los Galácticos F. C. from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Carval's zone, Madeo Sarralde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matro Ester came out of the goal and Madeo Sarralde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matro Ester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Laboy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusebio Martijana got free with Ixona Guerrez in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Los Galácticos F. C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
