Spectators: 6795 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1795, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ramon Cantu took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Crescencio Cora was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cali's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Alianza the free kick. The supporters of FC Alianza booed when Cali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Crescencio Cora didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Cali's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Cantu came free, but Xicu Eraña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, FC Alianza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benino Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. The Cali fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Cali's Eloi Reiriz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Montel Solis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Xicu Eraña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xicu Eraña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Cantu's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Alianza fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Otsoko Moste recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brion Sevane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloi Reiriz in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Cantu in the 33rd minute of play forced Cali's goalkeeper Xicu Eraña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Eloi Reiriz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cali fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Eloi Reiriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brion Sevane having to interfere. After having played for 48 minutes, Eloi Reiriz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloi Reiriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eloi Reiriz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eloi Reiriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 62 played minutes FC Alianza got a freekick which was hit by Benino Mancebo. After a defensive mix-up in Cali's zone, Ramon Cantu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xicu Eraña came out of the goal and Ramon Cantu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eloi Reiriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Brion Sevane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brion Sevane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloi Reiriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd match minute, Cali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richie Sufiria to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute of the match FC Alianza got a corner. Cali's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baladi Moscoso ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Alianza's Baladi Moscoso to fire away a dangerous shot which Xicu Eraña despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cali had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
