Spectators: 6800 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Calixto Jares took the kick off in the first half of the match. Copa FBC's Julen Carrillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Copa FBC from getting a goal against them. 6 minutes into the match, Rumipilca FBC's Calixto Jares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julen Carrillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julen Carrillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calixto Jares in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, Copa FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilixo Legaspe to maneuver through the defense. Orlanda Viñal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 13th playminute. In the 16th minute Calixto Jares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julen Carrillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rumipilca FBC's Oswaldo Estevez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selmo Fominaya in the 29th minute of play. Orlanda Viñal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rumipilca FBC's Orlanda Viñal got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 minutes, Savion Ariño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Copa FBC and the Rumipilca FBC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Savion Ariño hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Copa FBC defense, Orlanda Viñal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julen Carrillo. The Copa FBC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julen Carrillo should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Selmo Fominaya made a kick off. Julen Carrillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlanda Viñal, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Copa FBC's Bemabe Castelo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Orlanda Viñal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Handi Nuevo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Estevez having to interfere. Oswaldo Estevez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selmo Fominaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Selmo Fominaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th of the match, Selmo Fominaya tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Oswaldo Estevez got in the way and made a wonderful save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niguel Septien during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rumipilca FBC's Niguel Septien got a free kick in the 76th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Selmo Fominaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Copa FBC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selmo Fominaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julen Carrillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlanda Viñal went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Handi Nuevo might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oswaldo Estevez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Handi Nuevo ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Calixto Jares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rumipilca FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Calixto Jares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julen Carrillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Orlanda Viñal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julen Carrillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calixto Jares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Orlanda Viñal came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Rumipilca FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlanda Viñal couldn't finish the play. Rumipilca FBC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
