When Mateus Careaga fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huananabe FC's protests and gave Mateus Careaga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Huananabe FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Mateus Careaga hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FBC's Emilio Quiroga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Villaquilambre. That made the score 1-2 after 25 minutes of play. Benja Saa kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Emilio Quiroga managed to get in a good position for a shot. FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Quiroga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Villaquilambre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Andonaegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Semprun in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Honrio Aparicio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Huananabe FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Vladimiro Semprun made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Vladimiro Semprun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Andonaegui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee showed Eutropio Riaza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Huananabe FC's Mateus Careaga got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Semprun came free, but Jorge Andonaegui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateus Careaga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jorge Andonaegui firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 77th minute, Gorri Olveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chants of Huananabe FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as FBC had held the ball for most of the match.
