In the 19thth minute of the game Medero Ubera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avengers's Mikelar Almaguer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidele Garonaga in the 20th minute of play forced Avengers's goalkeeper Mikelar Almaguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Medero Ubera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikelar Almaguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikelar Almaguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidele Garonaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Medero Ubera in the 29th minute of play forced Avengers's goalkeeper Mikelar Almaguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fidele Garonaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fidele Garonaga in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikelar Almaguer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42ndth minute of the game Fidele Garonaga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avengers's Mikelar Almaguer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avengers's goalkeeper Mikelar Almaguer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, Avengers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Sevane to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, UNMSM FC's Lauaxeta Gatell tried to score from far away in the 49th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Medero Ubera made a kick off. Mikelar Almaguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Medero Ubera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avengers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Fidele Garonaga scored to the left of an out of position Mikelar Almaguer, making the score, 0-5. With an all-out effort, UNMSM FC's Mikelar Almaguer threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Medero Ubera, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Medero Ubera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Mikelar Almaguer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Avengers's Gaizko Burualla got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Fidele Garonaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, UNMSM FC's Fidele Garonaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mikelar Almaguer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Mikelar Almaguer was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Lauaxeta Gatell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lauaxeta Gatell really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Mikelar Almaguer made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Fidele Garonaga sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the game, Medero Ubera recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mikelar Almaguer. Medero Ubera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Mikelar Almaguer made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Lauaxeta Gatell sent off a good shot on target. UNMSM FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
