A collision led to Sport Chontal F.C getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Senen Andrade hit a great ball. When Gartzi Irabien came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Salvarri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gartzi Irabien couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Millan Minayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Bueres was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Sport Chontal F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salvarri:s goal. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Salvarri. Kusko Guiluz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eulalio Brena. 0-1. Ulizes Lisundia charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulizes Lisundia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Ulizes Lisundia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gartzi Irabien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Isauro Cunyat fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salvarri's protests and gave Isauro Cunyat a yellow card for diving instead. Isauro Cunyat kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Gartzi Irabien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Eulalio Brena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eulalio Brena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gartzi Irabien's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Gartzi Irabien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eulalio Brena came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Salvarri's Guipuzkoa Carlos. But to his dismay, Guipuzkoa Carlos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gartzi Irabien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Eulalio Brena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gartzi Irabien to make the kick off. Salvarri's Eugenio Bizoso got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gartzi Irabien's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Eulalio Brena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Bizoso in the 57th minute of play forced Sport Chontal F.C's goalkeeper Eulalio Brena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romildo Camposa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florinio Modet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florinio Modet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florinio Modet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Romo Cabaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salvarri's Romildo Camposa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florinio Modet in the 69th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Salvarri got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Elzuardi. When Gartzi Irabien came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Salvarri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gartzi Irabien couldn't finish the play. When Eugenio Bizoso came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Salvarri fans jumped to their feet. Eulalio Brena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gartzi Irabien in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Gartzi Irabien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salvarri's supporters rose to their feet, but Gartzi Irabien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eulalio Brena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute, Gutxi Regalado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the game, Xavier Elzuardi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eulalio Brena. Xavier Elzuardi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Gartzi Irabien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Eulalio Brena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Sport Chontal F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Gartzi Irabien came free, but Eulalio Brena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvarri played a much better game than Sport Chontal F.C and deserved their victory. The Sport Chontal F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
