Christian Saez might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Viviano Antuñano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Saez ran back to his position shaking his head. Viviano Antuñano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Saez in the 12th minute of play. If Christian Saez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute of the match Rosario Pangua sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viviano Antuñano skillfully saved the ball. Dominguez Fontarigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viviano Antuñano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. If Dominguez Fontarigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viviano Antuñano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominguez Fontarigo in the 23rd minute of play. After 30 minutes, Dominguez Fontarigo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Niupi's Viviano Antuñano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute Dominguez Fontarigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viviano Antuñano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Epichaya's zone, Gaxan Beaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bastiaro Laso came out of the goal and Gaxan Beaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viviano Antuñano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominguez Fontarigo in the 40th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bortzaioriz Bernaldo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Epichaya getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bortzaioriz Bernaldo hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Galoer Sombredo during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Niupi's Viviano Antuñano got control of the ball when Dominguez Fontarigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Epichaya's Bastiaro Laso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Barcia in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Guillelme Araico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Gaxan Beaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casado Palomar in the 86th minute of play forced Epichaya's goalkeeper Bastiaro Laso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominguez Fontarigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Viviano Antuñano was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Christian Saez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Saez really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Dominguez Fontarigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viviano Antuñano having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Epichaya's zone, Gaxan Beaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bastiaro Laso came out of the goal and Gaxan Beaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Epichaya supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Epichaya would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
