In the 20th minute, sporchiclayo's Beremundo Bedia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ordono Lacle. Ordono Lacle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. DEPORTIVO TACNA's Ordono Lacle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save DEPORTIVO TACNA from getting a goal against them. If Urtats Eraña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Txordon Masa's late challenge caught a sporchiclayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Txordon Masa helped the player get up and apologised. 36 minutes in the game Etxekopar Soltero after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Ordono Lacle. A very good opportunity. Ordono Lacle came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by sporchiclayo's Urtats Eraña. But to his dismay, Urtats Eraña quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efraim Arechavala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, DEPORTIVO TACNA's Oriche Sagarribay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. The supporters of DEPORTIVO TACNA booed when sporchiclayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Etxekopar Soltero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hanni Machuca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sarracino Yurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, sporchiclayo's Etxekopar Soltero got a free kick in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Sarracino Yurre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hanni Machuca was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Urtats Eraña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ordono Lacle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urtats Eraña, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Etxekopar Soltero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ordono Lacle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efraim Arechavala in the 72nd minute of play forced DEPORTIVO TACNA's goalkeeper Ordono Lacle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urtats Eraña might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ordono Lacle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urtats Eraña ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74thth minute of the game Efraim Arechavala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DEPORTIVO TACNA's Ordono Lacle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 77th minute, Efraim Arechavala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, sporchiclayo's Beremundo Bedia got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Efraim Arechavala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DEPORTIVO TACNA's Ordono Lacle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urtats Eraña in the 87th minute of play. sporchiclayo's Efraim Arechavala got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ordono Lacle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beremundo Bedia in the 93rd minute of the match. DEPORTIVO TACNA succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though sporchiclayo had controlled the match.
