With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Lacalle in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eneas Aparicio saved Peru from getting behind. Epifanio Robres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eneas Aparicio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Diogo Lacalle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cienciano's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogo Lacalle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eneas Aparicio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Lacalle in the 31st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Eneas Aparicio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eneas Aparicio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ariel Jado's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feo Maiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Diogo Lacalle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eneas Aparicio came out of the goal and Diogo Lacalle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the game, Ariel Jado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cienciano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. Ariel Jado hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Hever Aldama went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Peru booed when Cienciano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Jado didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cienciano's Tabb Almaraz got control of the ball when Dabi Pesante tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tabb Almaraz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feo Maiz's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Dabi Pesante got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dabi Pesante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Hever Aldama. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Lacalle in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eneas Aparicio saved Peru from getting behind. The Peru players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cienciano from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
