Epifanio Robres in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gotzon Alire, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 18 minutes into the game, Diogo Lacalle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Gotzon Alire was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Britto in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tabb Almaraz saved Cienciano from getting behind. With a little luck, Club Atlético Piura's Gotzon Alire got control of the ball when Rodrigo Medinilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tabb Almaraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Diogo Lacalle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gotzon Alire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cienciano's Epifanio Robres got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Fabiano Dionisi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Club Atlético Piura's Gabriel Britto in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 43rdth minute of the game Gabriel Britto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cienciano's Tabb Almaraz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tabb Almaraz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Britto's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, Cienciano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Jado to maneuver through the defense.

Fabiano Dionisi came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tabb Almaraz could save by the left post. After 78 minutes of play Cienciano's Ariel Jado was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gabriel Britto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Tabb Almaraz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th minute Gabriel Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tabb Almaraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
