The crowd rose to their feet as Gentza Olanda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Panfilo Cuyar. That made the score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. Blanco Aoiz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melchor Navia was the one to do the kick off. Lorenz Camba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domiku Arroniz in the 52nd minute. Melchor Navia might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenz Camba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Melchor Navia ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melchor Navia in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Navia couldn't finish the play.
