To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 played minutes arcangeles got a freekick which was hit by Cai Ballesteros. The long shot by Luken Alsua in the 14th minute really tested Hodei Rosario's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Emenon Alonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. arcangeles's Cai Ballesteros suffered a concussion in the 27th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Carolo Cespedes kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, AC Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Rocendo Cuñat came free, but Mingo Pola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frasco Miar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frasco Miar might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hodei Rosario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frasco Miar ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rocendo Cuñat was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes AC Libertad got a freekick which was hit by Bernal Bara. A hard shot 56 in the game by Rocendo Cuñat from a close distance when the talented Mingo Pola managed to make a qualified save. AC Libertad's players were relieved. In the 59th minute Horado Villarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hodei Rosario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rocendo Cuñat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rocendo Cuñat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mingo Pola having to interfere. Mingo Pola made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Rocendo Cuñat sent off a good shot on target. Luis-Antonio Severino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in arcangeles fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! AC Libertad's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
